5 Ideas for Giving the PERFECT GIFT
I am not sure if there is anything that matches the complete and utter JOY of giving a gift to someone that means the world to you.
The challenge, however, is figuring out that PERFECT one.
So what should you do?
Here are 5 ideas for coming up with the most meaningful gifts for those you love. Don’t stress though! You don’t have to spend a lot of money for it to be perfect. Gifts should come from the heart after all!
Make a LIST of their likes & loves
I love lists. Like, LOVE them. I find that they are a great way to organize all the messy thoughts that circle your brain on a daily basis. So, make a list about THEM! What is their favorite color? What is their hobby? What do they eat all the time? What drives them crazy?! Think about the most UNIQUE qualities you can. This makes it personal and shows how that you LISTEN to them.
Once you make the list, mix and match things on the list. For example, maybe she adores plants but has no luck keeping one alive ever! Try a crocheted plant or cactus! Or, maybe he loves a specific sports team, but never has anything to wear to that tailgate party! Look for a jersey or jacket with the logo!
My only word of caution with this one would be to keep your mind focused on their likes. It is easy to twist our ideas to be something we would like for them, instead of something they would actually have use for. Keep it THEM focused.

2. REPURPOSE something meaningful.
There's a lot of meaning in those family heirlooms we have lying around! A friend of mine lost her mom and decided to have a vintage diamond necklace hers redone into 3 separate necklaces for her and her daughters. Who would not be completely touched by that!?!
3. MODERNIZE a memory
If you know someone...I mean really know them, you are bound to have those moments of laughter and fun in your memory bank. Think about a silly time when you both shared an endless laugh. Now MODERNIZE it! A friend of mine and I made the most disgusting...I mean HORRIBLE guacamole for an event in college. Fast forward 10 years, she’s now pregnant with her first. I found the CUTEST little baby avocado toy to send her! It’s guaranteed to make her reminisce and smile when her little one plays with it!
4. Go to a CRAFT SHOW!
Often times craft shows are a wealth of personal, one of a kind, creative gifts you would never even think of! There are also opportunities for customization that really adds that special touch!
5. Organize an EXPERIENCE gift
This one is a good for that couple or those people that seem to already have everything! Organize a trip, night out, or experience that gives them an opportunity to do something they typically wouldn’t. Check for tickets to a local show, add in a gift card to dinner, and something they could wear or use for the evening and VOILA! You have a fun evening that is preorganized by YOU!
