Apps I’m Using NOW

Lately, I have been getting back into using CANVA for some quick designing. Canva is graphic design platform that gives you the ability to add a little creativity to your visual content. If you have never used it, I highlighted some features that you might find useful below.

Templates & Creative Design

I LOVE when programs offer choices for a diverse range of skill levels. Canva provides pre-made templates, shapes, graphics, photos, videos, & audio options for users with zero design background. All you need to do is choose from the content list then click to add it to your design. Alternatively, it does offer the freedom to arrange, customize, and upload your own graphics & images for those that are into that sort of thing. You can also integrate text into your design with several font options & effects.  Font combination suggestions are available  for novice designers too!

Designs for literally EVERYTHING

One of my favorite features is the ability to make a design for literally anything and everything. I’ve used it for my resume, lesson handouts, poster advertisements, social media announcements for my small business…YOU NAME IT. Scroll through the design options and I guarantee you’ll find an endless amount of possibilities!

FREE for 5GB of storage

There are different plans depending on what you are looking to use the platform for. I have it for personal use so the free plan works just great for me and I find that 5GB of storage is plenty. If you are part of a design team or just an avid designer, you might consider upgrading to access some more storage space, unique fonts, designs, and features.

It Saves your Portfolio

All of your designs are saved in the cloud under your profile for you to access, edit, or download whenever or wherever you need it. How awesome is that? You also have the option to download your work as a PNG, JPG, PDF, GIF, or MP4. (SVG files are available to those Canva Pro members if you are an avid Cricut designer).

Clicking the link above will let them know I referred you & we can both earn a free premium photo, icon or illustrations!

These are seriously just a few of the awesome things you can accomplish with Canva. I always find playing around with a program helps you to discover its capabilities & possibilities. Let me tell you, if you are looking for some incredible DESIGN INSPIRATION, Canva is such a fun place to start!
